Install

To install the AstroPay plugin in WordPress, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your store and select the menu Plugins > Add New.
2. In the search box, type AstroPay.
3. Press the Install Now button.

To install the AstroPay plugin from the .zip file, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your store and select the menu Plugins > Add New.

2. At the top of the screen select the Upload Plugin button.

3. Select the previously saved .zip file on your computer and press the Install Now button.

4. Once installed, select the Activate Plugin button.

Credential configuration

Once the plugin is activated, the integration redirects you to onboarding. There you must make the initial configuration to be able to use the plugin in your store.

On this welcome screen you must enter the requested credentials: API Key, API Secret and SDK API Secret.

Note: remember that to obtain these credentials you must enter the AstroPay dashboard and complete three simple steps to obtain the credentials.

Next, press the Save button.

Click the link skip this step (go directly to advanced settings) to start the plugin configuration.

The plugin will allow you to enable both test mode and production mode. Make sure you have the credentials for each environment.

You will also have the option to configure the main credentials (Global) and those that you will use specifically for Europe. For the latter case, please note to complete the AstroPay form with the corresponding region.

Once the credentials are configured, click the Validate Credentials button to save your settings.

Advanced Settings

Within the Advanced Settings section you will have the possibility to enable the payment methods on the website directly.

Another option available is the activation of the logs to visualize the interaction that AstroPay is having with your store. With this function, we will quickly identify an expected behavior or not that the integration may have.

Be sure to press the Save changes button to save your changes successfully.

Checkout configuration for subscriptions

Select from the menu WooCommerce > Settings and go to the Subscriptions tab.

Note: remember to have the plugin installed WooCommerce Subscriptions in order to make this configuration.

Next, locate the Mixed Checkout option and uncheck it.

Note: for technical reasons, the same purchase of a subscription cannot be generated with another subscription and/or products.

Product configuration for subscriptions

It is recommended to complete the Subscription price ($) fields with the recurrence of the subscription charge and the Expire after field.

Note: for technical reasons, it is not recommended to fill in the Sign-up fee ($) and Free trial fields to ensure the proper functioning of the integration.
